SYNOPSIS:

A dissolute drug addict, John Cambioti (Joe Gawalis) clinging to life, reconnects with his torn apart family on the third anniversary of their parents’ death. John’s younger brother Michael and sister Cara (Emilio Vitolo and Vanessa Koppel) welcome him back with open arms and try to help John for the better but his older brother Jimmy (Michael Voight) knows a dark family secret that tore the family apart in which John was responsible for. With the family’s help, John starts to turn his life around and the reconstruction of an individual and a family begin. Joe is an award winning filmmaker based out of New York City. Influenced deeply by his east coast roots, Joe’s style of filmmaking reflects the people of the big apple itself. Raw, gritty, rich in character and an fueled by the understanding that the melting pot known as NYC is as diverse and melded together as a grey stormy night.

His powerful drama Around Every Corner has gained an enormous fan following online in a short period of time it was just released on Amazon Prime, Amazon Video and iTunes. Joe has been interviewed on shows such as Fox 5’s Good Day “Street Talk”​ with Emmy Award winning anchor Antwan Lewis and featured in such publications as Examiner.

An actors director who develops deep and rich characters from the page to the screen, Joe has proven he is versatile in directing and writing multiple genres of film and attracting some of films big stars to his work such as Michael Madsen, Al Sapienza, Luis Antonio Ramos and WWEs Bret “Hitman” Hart. Joe Gawalis is a filmmaker on the rise with many more strong years in front of him.
