CARNAVAL DE CUBA By Roberto Monticello
58 min | Documentary | CUBA, USA | 2017
World Premiere

SYNOPSIS:

As a kid in Santiago de Cuba, I grew up with many religions, especially Carnaval. People of all religions participate in Carnaval in ways related to their beliefs. This is not Havana, but the other end of the island, a place barely touched by tourism or foreign influence. This is the Real Cuba. To world travelers, not tourists, this is the destination, a place where life is more raw, and belief is more naked. It is the home of Carnaval de Cuba.
