SYNOPSIS:

Lausanne, Switzerland. In a Project Suburb, A group of kids decide to make a film. A social worker helps them. They write a screenplay and then, head all the way to Cannes Film Festival in search of a producer. More than a movie, a life experience.

DIRECTORS’ BIOGRAPHY:

Frederic Baillif born in 1973 in Geneva, Fred Baillf has been a basketball player, a social worker and a DJ before turning his focus to cinéma at age 25. He acquired his skill set in New York and since then has directed 8 documentary films and TV specials for the RTS show “Temps Présent”. He is currently working on a documentary series for RTS about couples counseling. 4 of his movies had a theatre release, including “Geisendorf” for which he won the “Vision du Réel award” in 2006. “Believers”, a 2010 Canal+ production, was the logical step after “Geisendorf”. “Tapis Rouge” is his first feature length narrative film as a director.

Kantarama Gahigiri is an award wining Director & Producer who moved back to Geneva
after living 8 years in New York City where she worked on wide array of narrative films; independent productions, studio productions and TV series.
Her own films have been shown and awarded prices in Los Angeles and New York as well as in Europe and Africa. She is the creator and director of 2 seasons of the short series “Me + U” which won numerous awards in Los Angeles and has been sold internationally.
